Branchage Festival 2011

As the last reels of film are packed away and fantastical sets are carefully dismantled, the final, slow dregs of light fade from the exotic vistas of Branchage 2011 and a warm sun sets on another Branchage International Film Festival.  But didn't we have a ball?

Huge and unending thanks go to all the volunteers, helpers, givers, fixers, grafters, performers near and far, jam-makers, wood-gluers, drivers and general helpful souls who smiled benignly as we asked them for increasingly bizarre loans and fished out all manner of practical and impractical objects for the beautification of the festival.  To all of you who made the festival happen, thank you for your unerring resourcefulness, good spirited-ness, strong arms and smiling faces.  You are an extraordinary and wondrous bunch.

Yes, a tear comes to our eyes as we bid farewell to Branchage 2011 (but it's mainly relief and lack of sleep to be honest); it is a potent mixture of emotions that fills our chests and our heads are a-whirl with plans for Branchage 2012 and all the Branchagey things we hope to accomplish between now and then.  It would be trite to say 'Watch This Space'... so we'll just say 'Don't be a stranger'
