Sue Daly Wildlife Filmmaker: WILD WEST JERSEY + WILD GUERNSEY + Q&A

Director: Sue Daly
Year: 2007
Duration: 36 min / 28 min
Country: UK

Sue Daly is an independent wildlife film-maker, writer and camerawoman. She originally specialised in underwater camera work and has won major international awards and screened on the National Geographic Channel. Her first series WILD ISLANDS is due to be broadcast this autumn.

WILD WEST JERSEY, made in conjunction with the National Trust For Jersey Coastline Campaign, concerns the area of St Meilles now the home to a large range of wildlife, but once known as Jersey’s principle rubbish tip and open to calamitous erosion of the dunes and grass. Because of the constant threat of development, the Jersey coast is in need of protection. WILD GUERNSEY is a fascinating overview of the other Channel islands flora and fauna both on land and in the sea.

WHY YOU MUST SEE THESE FILMS: A chance to see some of the most beautiful nature filmmaking by a respected auteur and also a chance to meet Sue and hear about her fascinating life and career.
