IMAGINARY SUMMER + Q&A

Director: Rebecca Coley / Richard Hall
Year: 2006
Duration: 91 min
Country: UK

Jimmy has been sent to live on Jersey by his grandparents after his Mother’s suicide attempt. Unfortunately, Jimmy’s grandfather doesn’t want anything to do with him. But summer on Jersey is one of a new found happiness, until things are threatened by secrets from the past which date all the way back to the German occupation.

This debut feature film by Jersey-based filmmakers Coley and Hall has been made on a micro budget and a lot of enthusiasm; it’s a chance to see the filmmaking talent that Jersey has to offer, while drawing on local history and experiences.

WHY YOU MUST SEE THIS FILM:

It is the first feature film made in Jersey that also uses Jersey in the story line, as well as using the vast pool of talent available in the Channel Islands.
